Natter night 8th July 2013.

Well it had to be the hottest day of the year so far, even up here in Cumbria, as this first photo shows.
It did manage to top the 40deg C about three this afternoon.
This allowed us to spend the night in the garden, without the fear of getting wet.
First to arrive was Dev who brought this Shohin sized Hawthorn.
A very strange configuration, but nice all the same, it will make a nice tree in a couple of years time.
After we added some wire and removing some branches, not a bad start.
Next Was Sue who brought two Maples for a hard clipout.
This first one a Palmatum, which lost it's apex after an accident had been left to regrow and had grown too wide. Sorry only this after clip photo but we did remove a lot of foliage to allow light into it.
Sue also brought this Trident Maple for some of the same treatment.
The tree is starting to emerge once more.
Another good night, made better by the weather.
Thanks once again for taking the time to visit my blog.
