Some more of my accents are flowering at the moment, so I thought I would share with you.

Litterati Boulevard update.
I have been doing a little work on my Litterati Boulevard today.
After the initial styling earlier some of the apex that was formed died back quite a lot and was in need of a restyle.
The first job was to remove the old wire and weeds from the surface of the compost.
Next was to rewire and place branches to form a new apex.
I am quite pleased with the progress of this tree, even though there is some way still to go.

I have been doing a little work on this Hinoki Cypress today.
Still needs more wire but looks OK for now.

Natter night 25th July 2016.
Yet another busy day, but time to chill out with my visitors tonight working on Bonsai.
Ken's Hawthorn was the first to be worked on with a bit of selective pruning.
After pruning the pads are a little more defined.
This Rowen which was air layered by John G was pruned back quite hard to promote some back buds.
Looks quite severe but a good thing to do.
These two Shohin Juniper belong to Sue S, who has started to wire and hopefully will be finished next week.
Finally tonight is this Chinese Juniper, which Paul M brought, was wired and styled.
As some of the branches were quite leggy they were removed and the rest were placed to create a Litterati style.
All in all a good night's work.

Dave's Juniper update.
A quick update of Dave's Juniper that he brought last Thursday.
This is how it was when it arrived.
After a discussion about what to do and some bending of the main trunk.
Now after wiring and styling.
I think it will make a nice little tree.

Bonsai Thursday with Dave.
Yet another nice day with Dave, today he brought this Juniper to have a look to see what could be done to improve the image.
Starting to see a nice tree emerging, but still a bit of wiring to do.
I also managed to do some cleaning on this Squamata Juniper.
After cleaning it looks much better.
See you next week Dave.

Natter night 18th July 2016.
A glorious night so we could work outside in the garden, which was good as Boxie brought a spray bark cleaner to try. It is a high pressure spray which uses only water to remove algae from trunks and branches and works very well.
My Dawn Redwood was one tree that was done.
Easy to see why it is called a Redwood now.
This Chinese Juniper was also cleaned.
A Crab Apple was pruned lightly to enhance the shape.
Looked better a trim.
A good night in more ways than one.

Bonsai Thursday with Dave.
Dave came over for our usual Thursday get together and what a good day it was.
The sun even managed to shine.
This Kifu sized Chinese Juniper was refined a little.
The Chinese Juniper is on the bottom left of this photo.
Cascade Cotoneaster was also clipped a little.
Hawthorn group looking well.
Squamata Juniper from another angle.
Hope this weather lasts for a while.

Natter night 11th July 2016.
The thing I really enjoy about natter night is the diversity of trees that turn up, from starter trees to much more mature trees. Plus the camaraderie of the people who keep on turning up each week.
Andy P was the first to get trees clipped, a small Cotoneaster.
After work was done.
A small Squamata juniper which needs some wire.
All that was done was a light prune.
As was this juniper.
Again it needs to be wired.
A nice Shohin Chinese Elm.
This flowering Cherry was cut back quite hard to promote some back budding.
Next up were two of Johns trees, I think this one was an English Elm.
After some branches were shortened.
This garden center Juniper was wired and then tweaked.
Starting to take shape.
Boxie gave Sue S a hand with her Chinese Juniper.
Paul M also brought a couple of trees to work on.
This variegated Juniper is taking shape at last, not an easy tree to style as it grows very slowly.
Another of Kens Hawthorns was also clipped a little.
A lot of good work done tonight.
