Dawn Redwood, foliage training.

This is how I train the new foliage on my Redwood.

If you look close the foliage on the apex tends to grow straight up, to combat this I place an old towel over the top and leave for a few hours.

This has the effect of compressing the tender growth.

After removal the foliage lays in line with the flow of the canopy.

This process is repeated over a few days and really works well.
