Bonsai Wednesday.

John and Tony are back off holiday so they came round tonight for another night of Bonsai.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Tony brought this newly collected Larch, to see if any more
foliage should be removed.

Note the hamster cage wooden box it is planted in, the reason for this is it is planted in sphagnum moss and the birds were ripping it to bits. So he constructed the cage to stop them, a good idea, yes.

John brought this Boulevard Cypress for some instruction about thinning out the foliage and removing the die back on the inside of the growth.

He will now put into practice what he learned and wire the tree at home and bring it back soon.

I am beginning to feel like a teacher , setting my students homework.
