Natter night 9th July 2018.

The sun continued to shine on another busy night of Bonsai and coffee and banter.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Robert brought back his Itoigawa juniper, that we started two weeks ago, to have more work done.
He had wired quite a lot of the branches, but was not sure about the apex branches.

The back of the tree.

We decided the branch on the bottom left was no good for the final image, so it would be turned into Jin.

Which was Robert's next lesson.

The final image for now, I think this tree will continue to improve over the next couple of years, but looks good now.

Ken M brought back his White pine in this broken pot, to be slip potted into another pot.

Did I say broken, I should have said smashed.

The Pine in the new pot.

Robert also brought a couple of small Procumbens junipers he bought at a local garden center, to see if they had any potential as Bonsai.
I  talked him through how to decide the style that would suit the tree and how to find it.

After finding the trunk line it was decided to go for a semi cascade style.

After removing even more foliage we can now see a very basic outline forming.

More home work wiring for Robert.
