John brought his Crab Apple which was air layered last year to be put into it's first pot.

After removing from the main tree, it was potted up in this pond basket, just in June last year.
Look at the roots it has gained since then.
The pot being prepared and you can see the root ball better in this photo.
The tree was placed in the pot and secured in with wire.
Then it was filled with new compost.
It was then given a slight prune and watered well.
A good result in such a short time.
