More work.

I have three more Hinoki to work on, first job is to remove all the old wire, then wire again and do a simple styling.

They will keep me busy for a while.

Hawthorn, { Mid season clip }

Usually about this time of year I give my Hawthorn a very hard clip out of the foliage and today seemed to be the right time.

Doing this every year helps a great deal with ramification of the branches.

No celebration's here but we had a few trees to be worked on tonight.

Susan brought this Sulpher spray Boulevard for a thin out.

Which now has a better shape.

Ken's small leaved Cotoneaster also had a clip.

This Downy Birch had a slight trim.

Sue's Chinese juniper was wired and branches placed to compact the image .

After a clip and a little wire were added,  it is taking shape now.

Another new project.

Yesterday at the Willowbog chat I was given this small Berberis

All I have done is clean out some of the branches that will not be needed and cleared some of the top surface of the soil to expose the roots.

The weather today was terrible to say the least, but the chat day was really good.

Today's display tree a very nice Pine.

David and Jane brought this Yew, which was pre-wired, so it had a bit of styling done.

After styling it looks more compact.

Now three of Dianne's trees.This first one, a root over rock Chinese Elm.

A Chuhin sized Pine.

A very nice Hornbeam.

Another small Yew belonging to Brian C was clipped and wired, then tweaked a little.

Again it looked much more compact.

Peter G and Anthony both working on their Yew's, watched closely by Mike R.

Last but not least Sam B worked on his Chinese Juniper to thin out the apex a little.

He also did a little work on this Pine.

There is always plenty going on at the chat days.

A pot for my Pine.

I have been asked if I have a pot in mind for my White Pine, well I have three to choose from.

The first two are Bigei Japanese pots.

You as I, will have to wait until spring to see which one I will use.
