Natter night 8th January 2018.

A very cold day followed by an even colder evening was maybe the reason the number of visitors was down tonight. Fair weather Bonsaiists.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

So Boxie and I shared my White pine to work on. We removed the wire that has been on for over a year.

The branches have set quite well and there are only a few small secondery ones to rewire.

Just to refine the pads a little.

It is not a good time to work on trees when they are frozen.

Cold.

I have just been out in the garden for a quick look around and boy is it cold this morning.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Looks like we are living in a freezer.

Very pretty though.

-4 at nine thirty am.

Can't even see through the windows.

Just for the people who think my studio is always tidy.

It will be by tonight.

Three weeks since the last get together, so it might be a busy night.

Sunday, 7 January 2018

Studio open.

The first Natter night for 2018 will be tomorrow night 8th January.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

So if you fancy a coffee and want some help with your trees, please feel free to join us.

So if your like me and Bonsai is your addiction, come and get your fix.

Another one for Ayr. { maybe }

I had a look at this Juniper and was thinking about taking it up to Ayr next Sunday.

Maybe !

Tree for Ayr Bonsai group.

I am just trying out a display for the Ayr Bonsai group winter image show on the 14th January 2018.

The show is in the Alloway village hall across the road from Rabbie Burns cottage.
I hope the weather stays fine for the journey up to Bonnie Scotland.

Bonsai Thursday with Dave.

As the weather is so bad at the moment, there is not a lot we can do, so we had a look at this Juniper/bogwood project that we started last year.

It seems to be growing quite well and looks a good colour.

A good start.

We can only hope this year carries on the way it has started, with beautiful sunshine and almost cloud free.

If all goes well it will not be long before my trees are back on the benches.
