National show .

As I said here is my post on the National show at Bury.
-----------------------------------------------------
As always an impeccable show.

As well as a lot of traders.

Some beautiful pots by Scottish potter Barry Somerville.

Some shots of the demo's.

An all round good day out.

National show at Bury.

Most people will be looking for photos of the trees at the show, but I will show the ones I took in a post tomorrow night. But for now here is a pic of what I purchased, pots of course.

This show is well worth a visit, so give it your support and have a look if you can.

Sorry.

Due to being very busy this week I am sorry for not posting any of the Bonsai work done in the last week.
-------------------------------------------
First off this White pine was finished being wired.

After styling it looks a lot neater.

Boxy, getting down to it.

Some before and after photos now.

This Boulevard Cypress was changed quite a lot.

After the work was done.

Ken M brought his triple trunk Chinese juniper for a trim.

Now looking outstanding.

No posts, but still been working.

Bonsai Thursday.

Today when Dave came over we decided to do a basic style on a Procumbens juniper.
---------------------------------------------
The tree before any work.

A good trim and a small tree has emerged from a bush.

It will need a much smaller pot when it is repotted in the future.

Natter night 2nd September 2019.

A busy night once more with good company and good banter,.
---------------------------------------------
This White Pine was the first to be worked on.

It belongs to Gibby, who is new to the hobby.

Boxy is teaching him the art of wiring.

Kevin brought along this Mugo, which he wired and styled himself at home, for a critique.
Kevin is also new to Bonsai, so for a beginner it is not a bad job.

Ken brought this Chinese Juniper for a trim and clean up.

Looked a little neater after working.

We also had a visit from David Hannah, who having retired has decided to emigrate to Spain.
All of us here at Ronin Bonsai wish he and Margaret the very best for the future.

Tree of the week, No 8

My tree of the week No 8 is this Shohin Dwarf Hinoki Cypress.
------------------------------------------

Overall this tree is Seven inches high.

Sunday, 25 August 2019

A few gallon.

After a day like today when it turned out to be a scorcher my trees needed a lot of water to see them safely through the night.
