Another treat.

Another treat to myself today.

This nice Japanese pot from Hokaido.

One more for the collection.

Bonsai Thursday with Dave.

A good day with Dave once more.
--------------------------------------------------------

This Potentilla was rescued from going to the dump a few months ago.

It was potted up and clipped back to some strong growth, then just left to recover.

This morning we decided it had regained enough strength for another clip out.

After the work was done, it now shows an image that could become a nice Shohin sized tree.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also today this Japanese rose has burst into flower.

Beautiful colour.

A very enjoyable day.

I'm back.

Having been without my computer for over a week, I am now back on line.

A few photos to catch up with what has been going on here at Ronin bonsai.
----------------------------------------------------------
A little more work on this Juniper.

Andy P starting a bogwood planting.

Paul's Pisifers has been wired and styled.

After styling.

John's Hornbeam.

After a good clip out.

A Lonicera had a good prune.

Small Cotoneaster wired and tweaked.

Things should be back to normal now, hopefully.

Squamata Juniper, then and now.

A quick update on a Squamata juniper I have had for some years now.

The tree as it was when I first got it from Robert Porch.

The tree today in the rain.

Coming along nicely.

Natter night 3rd July 2017.

A good night with another visit from Robert, although not working tonight just winding down before his drive back up to Glasgow.
Thanks once again for your company and tuition, from all at Ronin Bonsai.

Tonight's trees.

This Chinese juniper, { Andy's } that was styled on Saturday was cleaned and had lime sulpher applied to the deadwood.

After cleaning it shows the Shari much clearer.

Meanwhile Robert had a go at this small Cotoneaster that Ken brought.

Two views after styling.

This Pisifera was also cleaned and Lime sulpher added.

I started to do some wiring and refining on this Itoigawa Juniper, the one on the left.

The work so far, starting to look more compact.

A good night to end a very good weekend.

Workshop with Robert Porch, 1st July 2017.

Today it was the turn of Ronin Bonsai to host a workshop with Robert and the sun came out for most of the day, so we could work outside.

The work begins.

Chinese Juniper.

Chinese Juniper after work, a good image, much more open.

Black Pine.

Black Pine after work.

White pine and Golden Yew before work.

Golden Yew after work.

Robert pruned the white pine.

Ken added wire.

Robert then tweaked into place.

Robert does not even stop for food.

Black pine.

After a good prune.

Another Golden Yew.

Andy watching on.

After work.

Robert gave me these guy wires for my visitors to use when needed.
{ private joke }

What a brilliant day was had by everyone.

Thanks once again to Robert and Mike.
