Itoigawa Juniper progression.

Before and after on this Itoigawa juniper.
---------------------------------------

The tree in August 2019 after being left for a couple of years to gain vigor in the foliage.

After a rewire and a good clean up of the Jin, Shari and bark.

Another one or two years and a good feed regime and it will be ready to go into a show.

Natter night 28th October 2019.

An extremely good night with some good work done once more.
----------------------------------------------------
Boxy carried on with Ken's Pine.

Still not completed, but looking better.

I did some wiring on this Juniper.

Really pleased with the way it is progressing.

Kevin's newly purchased Ivy.

Happy at his work.

Pleased with the result.

Graham brought this Taxus to work on.

Also happily working.

Looking a lot neater now.

BTA show part 2.

Photos of the show in Doncaster yesterday.
--------------------------------------------

There was also a good selection of traders for all your needs.

Nice Hinoki Cypress.

I for one really enjoyed the day, getting to meet up with a lot of friends from the Bonsai community.

BTA show at Doncaster.

Had a brilliant day out at the BTA show in Doncaster today with great company and met up with some really nice people.
----------------------------------------------

Strangely enough all I bought were these three pots and three bronzed figures.

Pics of the show tomorrow.

Treating deadwood.

Treating deadwood with Lime Sulpher really makes the live veins stand out.

Bonsai Thursday.

When Dave arrived today I had already started to clean up this Itoigawa Juniper.
----------------------------------------------
It has been left to grow for a couple of years to gain health and vigor.

Shari and Jin have been cleaned.

A change of angle has opened up the front view of the tree.

Now it needs to be fine wired and trimmed.

I am pleased with the result of today's work.

Natter night 21st October 2019.

A quiet night as regards numbers but a busy night as regards work done.
--------------------------------------------

This Chamaecyparis  obtusa was gifted to me by a neighbor and left out as a test for Kevin to do a first styling on.

Which he got straight into with some vigor.

The boy has certainly learned a lot over the last few months as this is the result of his effort.

A good job well done.

Another new boy ? no just me showing that hair restorer does work.

Kevin brought this Ivy to work on but as he was busy I added a little wire and moved some of the branches for him.

Ken M brought this nice Scots Pine.

This was tackled by Boxy.

A lot more to be done, but will have to wait until next week as we ran out of time.

Another really good night with great company.
