Bonsai Thursday.

Dave arrived today with another project for the future.

This Procumbens juniper.

We have had a good look at this tree and it is about perfect for our future plans.

If all goes well.

Back on the up.

After the downer of yesterday, it is time to get on the up again as tomorrow my daughter is getting married.
Luckily my younger brother is providing the wedding car and boy what a car.

A 1947 Nash.

Same age as me but runs a lot better.

Natter night 11th June 2018.

The day started off on a downer when we went to say farewell to Andy P, who has been a regular visitor to my Natter night's.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Then it was back to the madness of natter night.

Ken was the only one who brought a tree, a Common Juniper, to work on. Which he got started on right away removing wire.

He then rewired it a bit.

We managed to get a couple of branches clipped and placed.

We hope to finish it next Monday.

A day in the sun.

Today Boxy, his brother Stephen and I spent the day at Andy P's doing some maintenance on his trees. It was also an opportunity to give the family some tips to keep the trees in good condition.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
After we had weeded, pruned, watered and rearranged the display, it looks as good as ever.

A Larch group Andy put together a number of years ago.

Friday.

Hooray it's Friday, the weekend starts here.

Oh I forgot, now I am retired every day is a weekend day now.
---------------------------------------------------------------
The last of the sun shine on the small ones.

Dave's Tanuki, looking very healthy.

Satsuki Azalea now in flower. I was told that if you remove all the flower buds when the first flower dies back, the following year they will all come out at the same time.

Did not work for me as there are still more to open.

Better luck next year.

Bonsai Thursday.

Yet another scorcher today.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dave had a trim at a couple of Maples, starting to look nice.

It is so hot I thought a good soak would cool them down.

Bonsai Wednesday.

Another beautiful warm evening to be working on trees.
--------------------------------------------------------------

Dev brought his Yew back for a little more work. This tree was given it's first ever styling a few weeks ago and it has recovered very well.

It is growing so fast it now needs a clip out and a little wire added.

Not a lot of work, but enough to bring the shape back into it.

This second Yew has never been styled or clipped until now.

So it has had a lot of small branches removed to allow light in. Not so much a styling , more of  a skeleton.

A Yew night and a good night.
