A walk in the woods.

Today I went for a walk in the woods, or better known as my Bonsai garden

At least my trees are enjoying the good weather.

Hawthorn budding well

Looks like lots of flowers again.

Dawn Redwood buds swelling fast.

Finished Larch.

Today I finished wiring Dev's Larch that I started earlier this week.

I think it looks a lot more compact now.

Before any work.

I have really enjoyed this work.

Larch update.

In these days of social isolation I am keeping myself busy by wiring trees.
I have been working on this Larch that Dev left with me.

Photo one when the tree arrived on Tuesday.

Photo two, Thursday.

Photo three, Friday.

See I still know what day it is.

Beautiful day.

Isn't it great when the sun shines all day for a change, it makes you feel like everything is fine in the world.

Still working.

Now I have all the time in the world to work on trees I have started on Dev's Larch.

A few guy wires needed to pull branches down.

Now some fine wire added.

Still a bit to go, but a good start.

Just in case.

Due to the ongoing situation with this virus I am sorry but I feel it only right that I suspend my natter nights until further notice. I will still be doing work on trees and posting on the blog. I hope everyone will understand why I take this action and will stay safe and well in the coming bad times.

Dark times.

Urban yamadori.

A knock on the door, I open it, a neighbour standing there says I have a tree in the garden that is going to the tip, do you want it? Silly question of course I do. Two hours later I have it potted up.
A nice Taxus.

First job, clean up the roots.

Then find a suitable pot for it to grow and recover in.

Now some TLC and hope.
